Why We Require Service Hours

As part of the registration process, each family needs to sign up for service hours. Hours fill up quickly but new opportunities will arise throughout the school year. These new opportunities will be advertised in the school newsletter. We depend on volunteer help of many kinds to maintain the standards and depth of our program. ALL families are asked to contribute at least 10 hours per school year. This participation will add to your children’s educational experience and reinforce your personal commitment to their education and the school.

Opportunities List

Title Description
Culinary Helper
Assist with cleaning up and helping Mrs. Knadisson during her classes and later in the day.
Sign Up
Traffic monitor
Set up traffic cones in the morning and monitor cars and students during drop off and pick up.
Sign Up
Lunch monitor
Ensure all students go to the proper location and playground equipment is available. Rotate through students to supervise behavior, assist with lunch needs, wheel trash cans to the lunch area and assist with clean up trash at the end of lunch.

Gift Cards
Gift cards play a crucial role in our school. They are used as rewards and incentives for our hardworking students, and they help us purchase essential items that support our teachers and classrooms.

This SUG is a fundraiser for the Music Class. You may choose to donate items (no service hours awarded) or volunteer to work at the stations (service hours will be given for this).
